There were 2 personal copies of this CD and 69 hard copies, all recorded on my own laptop, made available for purchase at the album promo held in Amsterdam in June 2013. The recordings encapsulated high school lightheartedness and college memories, and the band, well back then Lucky Number Nick was merely a solo project of one dude and his cat. The favorable reception of the self titled debut album led to the actual formation of the band and paved the road to a successful DIY career for which we're deeply grateful.

Lizzie Come 03:24
9. LIZZIE COME The first time when I saw her she was dancing all alone under the spot light The people in the club just blurred and she was all that I could see She glanced at me, I got a drink to gather balls When I got back, the fuck! she's gone, next thing I know I'm storming to the street, kinetic theory of heat Man, if I had a car she'd be the star on my back seat And when we parted away My heart blasted astray I should've never let you go on your own /x2 I should've never let you go, I should've kissed your brains away I should've never let you go, you should've stayed Flash-forward to the end of summer I bumped into her, she remembered me I played it cool but felt like Dumb and Dumber She said she liked the Offspring, could it be But man, her friends They hated me I should've never let you go with that car /x2 I should've never let you go, that's why I kissed your brains away I should've never let you go but you bailed anyway Her smile starts fading away in my mind A sign that nothing lasts forever Well, she missed me, she had her chances She turned out to be just another pretty face Well, she missed me, she hates romances I'm sorry baby, but that is not my case Well, she missed me, she had her chances At least I know that I have tried Well, she missed me, she hates romances She messed with my head then said "goodbye", whoa-oh And then she said "I'm your father" and I said "nooo"

about

Here's a bunch of songs written back in college that hopefully speak to people... Or at least to those of you who spank the monkey, dig Star Wars or own a cat.

This coming of age themed debut became our way to encapsulate the childhood sense of limitless possibilities and infinite fascination with everything. It is a reminder to never be too serious and remember that falling in love should be an inspiration.

A PDF lyric booklet is included with each album download.
